Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Informatica Batch Operations Engineer to support and manage large-scale batch processing environments. The role focuses on production support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of Informatica batch jobs, ensuring SLA compliance and smooth data operations across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, support, and troubleshoot Informatica PowerCenter batch jobs in production

• Handle incident, problem, and change management using ServiceNow

• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes

• Execute SQL and PL/SQL queries for data validation and issue resolution

• Collaborate with development teams for defect fixes and performance improvements

• Manage and monitor job scheduling using Control-M or equivalent schedulers

• Develop and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts for automation and operational support

• Ensure SLA adherence for all batch operations and production support activities

• Maintain operational documentation and support procedures

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in Informatica Batch Operations / Production Support.

• Strong working experience with Informatica PowerCenter, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of batch jobs.

• Solid expertise in SQL and PL/SQL, with the ability to perform complex data validations and root cause analysis.

• In-depth experience with Oracle Database in production environments.

• Proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems, including shell scripting for automation and operational support.

• Experience handling incident, problem, and change management processes in enterprise environments.

• Strong understanding of SLA-driven production support models and batch processing workflows.

• Ability to work in shift-based and on-call support environments.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with enterprise job schedulers such as Control-M or equivalent tools.

• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow for ticketing, incident tracking, and change management.

• Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins for deployment and automation workflows.

• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.

• Experience supporting large-scale data warehouse or ETL environments.

• Knowledge of batch performance optimization and failure recovery techniques.

• Prior experience in banking, insurance, retail, or enterprise data platforms is an added advantage.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with development, QA, and infrastructure teams.
