Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Mobile Architect to take end-to-end technical ownership and modernization of two core native mobile applications across Android and iOS.

The ideal candidate will leverage deep native mobile expertise alongside modern AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor to build scalable, production-grade applications efficiently.

This is a highly senior technical leadership role focused on architecture, modernization, engineering quality, delivery, and long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Ownership

• Own the architecture, technical strategy, and design patterns for native Android and iOS applications.
• Take end-to-end technical ownership of the mobile applications and related architectural decisions.

Codebase Modernization

• Refactor existing codebases and apply SOLID principles and Clean Architecture.
• Implement top security standards across both Android and iOS platforms.
• Focus on building scalable, maintainable, and sustainable mobile systems.

AI-Accelerated Engineering

• Use AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot, and Cursor.
• Apply prompt-driven refactoring and AI-powered debugging to build and ship features rapidly.
• Leverage modern AI coding workflows to improve engineering efficiency without compromising production quality.

Testing & Quality

• Implement comprehensive testing practices including:
  • Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Unit Testing
  • Integration Testing
• Ensure application stability and prevent regressions through robust testing practices.

Release Execution

• Drive the complete release lifecycle for a stable v1.0.
• Manage subsequent production updates and ensure reliable release execution.

Documentation & Communication

• Maintain concise architecture guides and API contracts.
• Document key technical decisions and the reasoning behind architectural and technical choices.
• Communicate approaches, decisions, and implementation strategies clearly with the team.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software and mobile engineering experience.
• Deep production expertise in both:
  • Native Android – Kotlin
  • Native iOS – Swift
• Proven experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as:
  • Claude Code
  • OpenAI Codex
  • GitHub Copilot
  • Cursor
  • Custom AI coding agents
• Proven track record of shipping and maintaining production mobile applications on:
  • Google Play
  • Apple App Store
• Strong understanding of mobile security and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding and practical application of Clean Architecture.
• Fully autonomous mindset with the ability to deliver end-to-end results independently.

🔴 Note: For this position, Romanian and English communication proficiency mandatory.
